Grandstand Seating
A Superior Seating System
Australian Staging and Rigging (ASR) is one of Australia’s leading providers of unique temporary seating solutions. Managing Director Pedro 'Pedro' McColl established the company in 1988 and has built a highly qualified major events team capable of any challenge.
The recent acquisition of Melbourne based seating specialists AAA Seating by ASR has bought on board over 25 years of industry experience through AAA Manager Neil Trimble. The synergies created by this partnership have enhanced the company’s reputation for quality and service, creating a product range that is the industry benchmark.
ASR Events has entered an exciting new phase through the recent addition of a new system -The KP System. This system provides clients with the most contemporary seating system available in Australia, supplied exclusively through ASR Events.
What different types of seating is available?
ASR Events is able to provide clients with a range of different options, depending on the specifics of the event. The AAA System is comprised of a bone coloured seat with an understructure of either a green or galvanised grey finish. A limited number of red seats are also available. At an additional cost seat covers of a specific colour can be supplied.
The KP18 and KP 26 Systems are comprised of a blue coloured seat with a galvanised grey understructure. The KP 26 System is built to a steeper 'rake' and is typically used along pit straight at major motor racing events. The understructure can be clad in shadecloth if required.
Where can temporary seating be used?
Temporary seating can be used in almost any location which can be imagined. Being a modular system, almost any configuration a client requires can be designed and built. This provides clients with enormous design flexibility- for example a plain grassed area can be easily transformed into a temporary arena with seating placed all the way around. Conversely if you only have a narrow frontage available, more rows of seats can be added by going further back and higher up.
As the seating components are transported and assembled on site, issues such as hard to access locations, uneven terrain, even obstacles such as trees, bus shelters and light poles can usually be accommodated.Temporary seating can be used in both indoor and outdoor locations, can be built on top of or under existing structures, even over water!
Our modular system allows us to build stands for as few as 12 seats up to 20,000 seats. We can transport and erect grandstands anywhere in Australia.
How much does temporary seating cost?
There are a number of factors which contribute to determining the cost of temporary grandstand seating. These factors are discussed during a site visit with the client before a quotation is provided. Our experience also helps us determine what difficulties or challenges we may be presented with. We will always work closely with our clients to determine the most cost effective solution for each situation.
Once all factors have been considered a design will be proposed and a quotation supplied. This quotation will generally be a per seat price which takes into account all factors unless otherwise stated.
Once a proposal has been accepted by the client, any changes to the overall design or seat numbers required may result in a change to the per seat price.
