Australian Staging and Rigging management is firmly commited to a policy that enables all work activities to be carried out with reasonably practicable measures taken to avoid risks to health, safety and welfare of staff, employees, contractors, authorised visitors, and any other person who may be affected.

Safe work practices will always take precedence over expediency and short cuts. In this regard there is only one-way to carry out a job; “the right way”. The right way is always the safe way. Australian Staging and Rigging believe there is no separation between good job performance and safe working practices. 

The ASR OHS and W plan is implemented through an OH and S committee. The responsibilities of management and senior staff are outlined in job descriptions and passed on through all levels of the company via regular toolbox meetings.

To ensure correct work practices are followed, a comprehensive Job Safely Analysis is carried out by employees before any commencement of work.

As part of our ongoing comprehensive training program, ASR staff and employees regularly participate in a variety of courses and programs specifically aimed at Occupational Health, Safety and Welfare education. These include;

• Certificate 4 in OH and S through the  Master Builders Association of South Australia 
• Senior First Aid training through Red Cross Australia
• Manual Handling
• Job Safety Analysis Training
• Construction Industry White Card
• Safe working at heights
• Confined space training

As one of its OH and S objectives ASR aims to create a workplace environment which minimises injuries to its employees. Should injuries occur ASR takes its has a duty of care and responsibilities to its employees seriously. ASR aims to return employees to their pre injury roles, or new roles if this is not possible, through a carefully managed return to work and rehabilitation process.  To manage this process ASR has appointed  a Return to Work and Rehabilitation Officer.
